How to set session time in nginx for .htpasswd?

The site has a password set for access via .htpasswd.
Commands used:

auth_basic "Restricted";
auth_basic_user_file /etc/nginx/.htpasswd;

Question: Is it possible to increase the session time?
I use the chrome browser, maybe the session time can be set in it?
