How to set RGB mode for external monitor in macOS Big surf?

macOS Catalina did not want to be friends out of the box with my HP Pavilion 22xi external monitor (the picture was fed to it with frames and with a low resolution), since there was a special utility that generated the correct RGB profile file, and this file must be placed in the macOS system folder, all these manipulations are described in detail on reddit - Forcing RGB mode in Catalina . however, with the release of macOS Big surf, the last step, copying the file to the system folder, no longer works, the script gives a "Read-only file system" error. Who knows how to fix it please tell me.

It turns out that the method of loading an RGB profile for an external monitor described on reddit is rather "crutch", everything is done much easier:
1) generate a profile file using the Create display override file to force Mac OS X to ...
script 2) and copy the resulting folder and file to the Library folder, which is at the root of the "Macintosh HD" drive! Those. not in the system folder "/Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library", but in the root "/Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Library".
In my case, it looks like this "/Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-22f0/DisplayProductID-302f"
3) I didn't even need to reboot the system, I connected the monitor and everything is displayed normally.
Bottom line - no need to disable sip, no need to change system files, doing a bunch of manipulations for this, it's a pity that reddit has such a clumsy way.

Disable SIP and try to copy the file while in Recovery.
