How to set readable name for custom layout component in Joomla?

It's no secret that in this CMS you can create alternative layouts within one component, for example, for a category blog. This is done by creating a layout file in acc. component folder. In this case, the file name will be displayed in the list of layouts, while for default layouts the name is translated. Where can I create a similar name for my layout?

The layout name can be overridden using the constant
TPL_TEMPLATENAME_COM_CONTENT_CATEGORY_LAYOUT_CUSTOM="New Layout"
Where TEMPLATENAME is the name of the template being used, CUSTOM is the name of the layout. (Extensions/Language Manager, tab "Redefining constants" or directly in language files.)
