How to set kernels for nginx, php?

I want to understand how the application will work on 2/2 cores. At the moment, the processor has 4/8 cores/threads.
I suppose that you need to set the settings for the nginx mysql, php processes. I also know about the possibility to limit the cores through docker, vagrant (vbox), but they will slow down the execution and will not give a correct understanding.
