How to set default chrome browser for links from windows programs?

W7x64. Installed Chrome via GPO (msi). Chrome is set as the default browser.
Faced with the fact that on users' computers in some programs, when clicking on active elements leading to the Internet, IE opens. It is not clear how this happens, and what type of mapping is responsible for this.

Solution found. It's not obvious, but in order for links from applications to open in chrome, you need to add an association with chrome specifically for .mht files. By default, Chrome itself does not do this, and these files do not appear in its default list.
