How to set block height correctly?

I'm making up the main slider on the page. What is the correct height for this block? Content should set height? That is, write all the content that is in it and just set the padding, or just set the height block? How right?

I advise you to combine the min-height property, while still giving minimal padding. If you want to add more content, then with min-height: 100vh and a lot of text, the content will stick.
