How to set background-image correctly?

I'm trying to set the background-image div to the block, it has h4, like a logo, and so, the picture is displayed halfway, right on top of the text, I set the location in pixels, it doesn't work, I try to write top left, it still stands on top of the text and the size is only half, I I want to put a logo on the left of the text, please help.
