Good afternoon, please tell me how to correctly set up a domain name on a djago project when hosting it on a vps? Installed and configured the site, but it starts only when you enter the server ip address on port 8000, the domain is added to allowed_host.

First, you need to register this domain. After registration, delegate it (if your registrar does not provide this service). For delegation, I use DNS from Yandex . After passing the delegation (the process can take up to 72 hours), add an A-record from your server's ip in the DNS Editor .
