How to send messages to Lync from a Delphi program?

Does anyone have experience integrating Delphi and Microsoft Lync? I would like to send messages from my program (instant message) to Lync.
There is a corporate directory written in Delphi. Each employee has the Lync client installed (everyone has a different version). I would like to send messages directly from this directory.
