How to send emails using the mail function?

Good afternoon, I need your help. I can't figure out how to send an email using mail(). I prescribe the recipient, subject, headers, in general, everything that is needed, and then the whole thing gets into the folder. So, how can I make it send, and not just put in a folder? And thanks in advance)
