How to send django mail like php?

Hello. There is a site on django in which mail is sent in this way:
from django.core.mail import send_mail
and then the send_mail function.
So, I get the following error when sending:

Googling found old articles without deciding what to set up for your mail, gmail or another.
Has anyone experienced this?
Is there a way to send mail in python just as easily as it is done in php?
