How to send a program running in the console to the background?
I have archlinux running on a liveCD on my laptop. Here, I need to raise the Internet there via a 3G modem in order to install the system.
There are generally 0 problems. wvdialconf
I start the config generated, I edit it for myself and run it. wvdial
A bunch of lines appear, and judging by the indicator on the modem, the network is up, yeah, but no matter how I can’t do anything else, because wvdial is running and displays everything, without letting me enter commands.
It seems that screen was invented for such purposes, but trying to execute screen wvdial
the console says there is no such utility and suggests replacing all this with _screen wvdial
Agreeing - I get an error. What to do?
