How to select equipment for the developed software?

As an analyst, I conducted an interview, formulated requirements, presented them in the form of notations and prepare tasks for developers.
While developers are writing software, I need to select server hardware (servers, storage systems).
How are the requirements for technology formed, where the free software will be running, when there is still no understanding of the free software and its load.

Run a couple of development iterations to roll out the MVP mockup, run a load test - something will already be visible there.
The success of guessing system requirements is directly dependent on the novelty of this task for the team. If your firm rivets the same thing, you will already have a magic formula for calculating the required iron based on requirements.
If everything is always new, your option is just to develop a piece of the architecture implementation stub and see what comes out from it.

I would recommend renting a virtual server to evaluate the load, there are a lot of offers on the market for any pocket, start with the minimum, then add resources to it as there is a shortage
