How to select cells in which the values match the list of desired values?
Hello! I use Google spreadsheets, but I just can't figure out how to automatically colorize the cells that contain the values I need. I must say right away that there are a lot of cells, more than 300-400.
There is a column in which there are numbers (IDs), for example:
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
I have numbers written out in a notebook: 2,5,8. I need to mark them somehow, I suppose through Conditional Formatting, but I don’t understand Excel formulas at all.
Again, this is just an example, there are a lot of numbers. Help advice.

Yes, conditional formatting. And it doesn't have to be formulas. There are different options, such as exact match, so instead of a formula, you can make three rules for matching a number.
As for the formulas, they are no different from those that you studied at school. Only instead of variables x and y you need to use cell names, which in fact mean coordinates (B2 - the second column and the second row). Formulas start with a sign=
To colorize with a formula, you need to select the range, select the "formula" formatting option, and write the formula for the first cell of the selected range.
