How to search in VK?

How would you solve this problem: you need to find a person by face from a certain city. Those. only you can tell if he is on the avatar or not. I do a search by city, by age and gender - I get about 6,000 options.
When I naively start scrolling the page with the accounts given by the search, I run into a limit of 1000 accounts. 1000 is all that VK gives me to view.
I'm, frankly, surprised that I'm not allowed to view all the results that the search turned up. Some strange unwillingness of the developers to give them to me.
How can this problem be solved? Use some script? Or in some other way?
