How to screw on the "smart filter"?

I display products on the page using the catalog.section component, passing a list of IDs to arFilter .

I want to additionally filter the displayed products, and the first thing that comes to mind is to pass the parameters to arFilter, but for this task it seems like there is a catalog.smart.filter component, so I don’t want to duplicate the functionality.

Actually the question is: will it be possible to attach it? And if so, how?
