How to run jpegultrascan perl script?

I'm trying to run the jpegultrascan script .
When I run the script: I get an
perl jpegrescan.pl 1.jpg 2.jpg
error: I'm running the
Couldn't read file at jpegultrascan.pl line 350.
script using ActivePerl 5.22.1 for Windows (x86). Tell me, please, what am I doing wrong?

In short, the pearl has nothing to do with it, jpegtran is launched under the hood of the script. Moreover, based on Linux, for which the script seems to be written / tested (judging by the absence of problems under fresh debian) - jpegtran is taken from libjpeg-turbo-progs by default. In win - you can take its builds from here , but in this case this error only disappears (because the script starts to find jpegtran output). It works fine - they end up compressing something - I didn’t succeed in the next three pictures. Theoretically, you can get confused with cygwin - but there is no jpegtran itself in the official repositories under it.
In general - the easiest way, without jokes - is to install a virtual machine and stick debian / ubuntu there and put native libjpeg-turbo there, it definitely works with it.
