How to run an application on HTTPS?

How can I run my application using the HTTPS protocol on a localhost (Mac OS)?

Why not? Issue a certificate to localhost and you're good to go.

It's not possible locally. You need to buy a domain, set up nginx and proxy with SSL on nginx
