Foolishly, I dug into "Disk Management" and now this appears when loading:

I tried to boot with alkyd from a USB flash drive - the same error.
There is no original disk with Windows.
Windows 8.1 64

download the image of Windows and roll it up with some kind of scrap on a bootable USB flash drive

The simplest thing is to get a boot disk from Windows. Did you manage to boot from the flash drive and this error remained after trying to restore? Describe in more detail what you did before and after the mistake.
