How to restore the previous view of the GTalk chat?

Today gmail offered to try hangouts chat, I agreed to try. In the contact list, instead of my usual contacts, contacts from the mail appeared, with which I, roughly speaking, do not correspond. If earlier in GTalk I could set "do not show in the chat list", now there are no settings at all. Is it possible to bring back the old GTalk look? If not, how can you at least customize your contact list?

At the top of the contact list is your nickname or name, to the right of it is an arrow, click on it. In the menu that appears, the last item is "Revert to old chat".
