How to restore the database from a backup on the new version of zabbix?

I installed zabbix 5.4 and restored the database from the zabbix.sql backup. When connecting to the database, I get an error: The Zabbix database version does not match current requirements. Your database version: 5000000. Required version: 5040000. Please contact your system administrator.
How to update the database to the current version?
"service zabbix-server start" was running.
On which version of zabbix the backup was made, I don’t know.

In general, this is strange. 5.0, judging by the official dock, you can immediately update to 5.4 - and the new binary will update the version of the database itself.
Maybe your DBMS is too old for 5.4? What else is in the server logs, no other messages?
