How to restore the BIOS on an HP laptop?
So, there is an HP 15-d059sr laptop, ENERGY STAR series. It was decided to replace the native hard drive with a new, faster one. I installed the disk, everything went well, I started the laptop - I received a message that there was no bootloader (and where could it come from on a clean hard drive), and went into reboot. After that, I only see a black screen, and the indicator on the CAPS LOCK key blinks (2 times - according to official data, this indicates a BIOS damage). Do not enter UEFI, nothing can be done at all. The laptop just turns on, the screen stays black, no signal comes to it, and everything stays that way.
I also want to note that I don’t have any Recovery Disk, and it was killed on the old hard drive, so the options with Win + B do not burn out.
What I did:
I downloaded the HP System BIOS Update (SP70194) from the official site, wrote the recovery key to the flash drive, try to start it on the laptop: the flash drive starts reading, a signal comes on the screen (the screen changes color) and after 5-10 seconds the laptop turns off. Everything. So every time. Tried with flash drives of different sizes - the result is the same. Did a hard reset. So the question is, what other steps can you take yourself towards restoring the BIOS? What do you advise? Maybe it's not in the BIOS at all? In general, thanks to everyone who responds.
UPD 1:
If there is an error indicating a BIOS failure (code 2 blinking), you may not even notice the codes because as soon as the computer detects this error, it will restart and try to fix the errors in the BIOS, then restart again. As a result, you may experience a very long startup process, after which a message will appear stating that the errors in the BIOS have been fixed. If this problem occurs, update the BIOS. See Updating the BIOS for more information.
