How to restore PostgreSQL 11 from WAL-G backup?

I was backing up postgree 11 with wal-g, and now it's time to use it, but I can't figure out how.

In 12 postgri, if I understand correctly, we delete the database, copy / unzip the backup to the folder with the database using wal-g and create a revocery.signal file that will start the recovery process,

but how to recover to 11 postgri in a similar way?
