How to restore grub (Ubuntu 20.04)?
Hello! I have a problem. I upgraded Ubuntu (from 19.10 to 20.04) and immediately after that, there was a problem with Grub. The laptop stopped booting itself (only through the Grub menu). I realized that I needed to restore it, but it turned out to be a little more difficult than I thought. Boot-repair didn't help, 'sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sda' didn't help either, 'sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt sudo mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev sudo mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc sudo mount --bind /sys /mnt/sys' doesn't help. The two most common errors are 'grub install error: will not proceed with blocklist' and 'mount point does not exist'. I understand that the question is most likely more than simple and that I am only a beginner in all this, so do not judge strictly. Hope you can tell me what else to try. Thanks in advance!
