How to represent the numbers 1920 - 100%
1200 - 80% on a 100 point scale

ax + b = y
1920a + b = 100
1200a + b = 80
D = 1920 - 1200 = 720
a = (100 - 80) / 720 = 1/36
b = (1920 * 80 - 1200 * 100) / 720 = 140 /3
x/36 + 140/3 = y
or
(x + 1680) / 36 = y

Linear progression
1920-1200 = 720
100-80 = 20
720/20 = 36.0
36*100 = 3600
1920 - 3600 = -1680
-1680+36*80 = 1200
percentage value 36 , offset -1680 (value at 0 percent)
