How to replace Ledger for the first month?

I ordered on the official website of the Ledger Nano X, delivery is at least 2-3 weeks. But I already want to slowly start learning how to buy bitcoins, at least for small amounts, and register a wallet. Where would you advise to start, given that I will receive my Ledger only in a few weeks, and my hands itch :)
