How to remove upcoming events on Facebook?

Recently, "Upcoming Events" have been appearing on my Facebook page advertising various events in my city that do not interest me. Here's what it looks like.

But I can't remove them - there is no arrow-shaped icon that helps to remove the "normal" event notifications received from friends.
Moreover, these events close the entire tape. Is it now such an "unobtrusive" advertisement or is it still possible to remove it somewhere?
