How to remove the parent category of products from the CNC?

Seoshnik really wants the link to look like
https://example.ru/category/kombinezony/

How to achieve this?
Tried the No Category Parents plugin but it didn't change anything.

Settings => Permalinks. There you set it up as you need in the "Custom" field
