How to remove pagination in Google Docs?

I'm using a Google Docs document with no plans to ever print it. Pagination bothers me - you can’t, for example, insert several pictures in a row with equal gaps - the sheet ends and the next picture goes to a new sheet and you get a bunch of unnecessary empty space at the bottom of the previous sheet. If there were no gaps between the sheets at all, that is, the document was like an endless scroll, this would solve the problem.
Either I google crookedly, or something else, but I did not find how to make a document a scroll. So far I'm getting by with zero indentation from the bottom and top of the page, but it's still not the same...

You can assign main Grid and assign grid-area to the sections, then manipulate them however you like.
