How to remove GIT connection error in Android Studio?

Good afternoon. When connecting Git to the project, I get this error
Invalid VCS root mapping
The directory is registered as a Git root, but no Git repositories were found there.
The path to the GITa directory is correct, the path to the project also changed. Please help
