How to remove ad schema extension?

there is a domain controller for 2008 from two servers, there were attempts to fasten lync and sccm. The ad schema has been extended. It is planned to switch to a more recent windows. How to safely undo schema expansion?

It's safe and you don't have to. Schema extension is a one-way operation and will not prevent you from upgrading to a more recent OS.
