How to remove a non-removable registry key?
I wanted to delete the registry key on the advice from the flash drive manufacturer's website (not detected), but when I open it in regedit, an error occurs
Cannot open this section due to an error. Access denied. You can’t delete it either, you can’t change the rights either (there are admin rights). I found advice on the Web on using the RegDelNull program, which removes broken partitions, she did not find anything. chkdsk found no errors. What can be done?
Answer the question
In order to leave comments, you need to log in
download psexec, included in sysinternals
run a command prompt with admin rights in the directory with psexec
run psexec -i -s -d regedit
delete the desired key.
On some sections you are tormented by the right to set, inheritance does not work there
Write the address of the section or right-click on the section - Permissions and set yourself rights. Branches are also protected by various programs such as antiviruses.
Even if this does not fit, then you can import the branch from livecd and clean it up.
Create your own *.reg file, where you will overwrite this section and try to run it in win in safe mode.
