How to remotely reinstall the operating system?

There is only a remotely accessible desktop, you need to reinstall the OS, Linux or M$ on it. Are there solutions or ways to allow this trick with minimal on-site support for a novice user?

The simplest, probably, is to set up auto-installation of the desired OS and transfer the bootable media to the user.
With regard to MS, you need to write permission to RDP in the answer file (or embed the remote control client that you use), the admin password, network settings and integrate firewood to the network - in order to be able to remotely connect to a PC immediately after deployment. Then you will get everything you need by hand.

you can get confused with virtualbox, pick up the second section of the screw (or another screw) as a hard disk image and put the system there. After installation, we install teamviewer / configure ssh, reboot into a new system and rejoice (install / configure software, return partitions, install firewood, etc.)

Linux in general is even easy - www.underhanded.org/papers/debian-conversion/remot...

We prepare the image, set the boot from the network with remote hands, spin up the PXE server on the neighboring machine, slip the image to it ....
PROFIT. In any case, either actively use the user, or think in the direction of PXE and the like.

just connect remotely, deploy the distribution image to the next section, more details in the ArchLinux Wiki, available in Russian , like any other distribution, the main thing is to do everything in advance so that the network works in the system immediately after switching on and you can remotely connect to an already installed system.
