How to remap controller files in Opencart 3?

I decided to switch from Joomla + Joomshopping to Opencart 3.
There was a question about redefining the controller files.
For example, I need to display links to info-articles (information module) in the header.
It turned out to be displayed by adding the code from footer.php to header_navbar.php
As I understand from working with Joomla, the next time Opencart is updated, all my changes will be lost. But in Joomla, a folder in the template was provided for this, in which it was possible to override the modified files. And how are things going with this in Opencart?

2. You can make edits not directly in files, but through OCMOD modifiers
