How to register an SSL certificate for a '.rf' domain website (StartSSL)?

Need an ssl certificate for the site. I registered with StartSSL, tried to validate the domain, but it didn't work. The site is located in the rf domain zone, perhaps because of this problem.
If I enter a domain in Cyrillic, it says incorrect.

You need to look at SSL certificates with IDN support. Of the popular brands in this group:
Comodo - cheap / thawte - medium / Symantec - expensive.
Waiting for a little hemorrhoids with checking domain management (with checking by mail, as hav0k described , problems).
Most likely, you will need the help of a support (he will manually bind mail with a Latin domain or place a file on the server). Based on this, I strongly recommend contacting projects where the support understands the issue and will help with the installation for free, for example, in ISPsystem - from 743 rubles / year.

In the beginning, I stopped at the mail, does not send mail to the rf domain. Previously, it was not .rf in the select, but the normal name xn--p1ai . It was necessary to open the data in whois (email), then I could pass the validation, but because I am a physicist, I had to transfer the domain from Naunet (you can’t open it there) to r01 (only notarized). And write 2 applications to send by mail.
It's been 1-2 months since I was able to do this, now I can't get to this step. I tried in different ways, but without results. It is necessary to write to the support.

Here is the answer, quickly worked out. Oh wait.

You can't validate this currently. It requires a software update from our side and is currently not possible.
