How to reduce the size of a DEBIAN system? How to clean?

1. Squeeze was installed on the server, together with my sites it occupied 9 GB, I had to upgrade to 7.11, the size of the system increased by 2 times.

well logs in /var/log usually lie.
In general, take the command du -hcs and starting from / run through the folders in search of the one that takes the most.

1. To switch off all access log'i - time. They are... never required.
2. Clean up /var/log
3. Record your actions in a bash script (file.sh) and send straight to daily cron tasks
