How to redirect from http to https in WP site without .htaccess?

Is it enough for a correct redirect to replace http with https in the WP site admin panel and not touch anything else? Or do you need to redirect through ngnix, and do not change anything in the site admin panel? The certificate has already been configured.

Can be done via nginx. And in the Admin panel, change the home of the site. It is also advisable to change all links to https.
