Most likely you have records in the database about these media files, but they are not physically in the /uploads folder , you need to upload them to this folder
. If you have original images in this folder, you can cut the thumbnails again with the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin

It is best to transfer the site using Duplicator, then you do not need to manually edit the database dump and change domains and hosting paths in it. And most importantly, it's fast and easy.
