How to recover money from wallet.dat Bitcoin if you have an old version of wallet.dat that does not contain all transactions?

And so the connoisseurs have the following problem:
I had a bitcoin wallet (the same one) on my home poppy and working PC, I performed operations from the poppy, there is a backup copy of wallet.dat from 08/10/2015 after which it actively worked for more than a month. Due to my stupidity, when reinstalling the MAC-axis, I did not save wallet.dat, because I was sure that when replacing the old one from the backup, all transactions would be pulled up. But this naturally did not happen (((I had about 6 BTC on my wallet, 3.5 left. Is it possible to somehow recover the lost money?

The wallet does not store transactions. You need to rescan the database. rescan parameter

The "-salvagewallet" parameter may also help.

In older versions, the wallet was not deterministic, unfortunately (when it is possible to recover addresses by one phrase).
100 keys were created there and they were used, then the next 100.
Thus, the wallet had to be backed up constantly so that it did not turn out that new addresses were created, but they did not get into the backup.
That is exactly what happened in this case.

Recently, CoinTelegraph wrote about the largest marketplace of such wallets

a $690 million wallet has not yet been opened.
