How to recover broken files on an external drive?
My external drive did not open (did not fall / did not get wet, etc.), suggests formatting) Comp, laptop is seen when connected - but there are no files. Ran chkdsk - opened! but the joy was short-lived - randomly checked files either do not open (file error), or broken, or normal. I ran Recuva - it found me only 11MB of files to restore - from the deleted ones. Those. with the rest, she thought that everything was in order. How can they be restored?

testdisk helped me yesterday to recover most of the files with a similar problem, though it took 2 days (you need to use deeper search)
There are two good utilities - Victoria and MHDD. They check for bad blocks (this can be done without them from under Linux), remap, and so on.
Disconnect the disk, so as not to worsen the state of affairs, read carefully and only then try to do something.
Thank you! at the moment
it's still a quick test with hddscan, everything seems to be in order.
recovery through r-studio ended - the same successes: the file system, the files are in place, but the files themselves are still damaged, especially psd, pptx, cdr ... a couple of attempts to treat broken files with different means - also unsuccessfully: the layers are merged, not open, pieces are missing.
I’ll run testdisk, maybe it will help) or maybe it will also restore broken files ... What could screw them up like that for me (
Here you need to look at each specific university to see what they mean by a specific specialty, otherwise you will turn out to be an analyst, not a programmer after graduation. In general, look at the specialties under the code 09.03.0x It’s
better to ask students in the specialty you like (2-3 courses are the best thing to ask) what they study and how (you can somehow get out through overheard), and then decide.
I myself study on 09.03.01 - Computer science and computer engineering, we program a lot (in C-languages mainly), studied iron a little, a lot of mathematics.
I know that the university does not provide relevant knowledgeHe does not have to give them, at the university you have to get them yourself.
