How to record screen video for youtube on macos?

Hello!
My screen resolution: 2800x1800
Recording screen video using quicktime player. I save video with a resolution of 1080. At the output I get a video with a resolution of 1728x1080.
I upload the resulting video to imovie for editing. I save video with a resolution of 1080. At the output I get a video with a resolution of 1920x1080. But there are black bars around the video.
How to properly record screen video and edit the resulting video without black bars?
