How to receive and distribute the same wifi on an android smartphone?

There is a router that stands in the corner of the room and distributes the Internet throughout the apartment. In the other room, the Internet is almost not caught. I can’t move the router itself, a computer is connected to it. I have an old android smartphone, and I want to use it as an additional router - so that it is connected to the main wifi and distributes it itself as an additional distribution point, place it in the corridor, then the Internet will catch better in the back room. The question is - how to set it all up on android? I rummaged through the entire Internet, tried different software - nothing happened: the access point turns on only for distributing mobile Internet, when wifi is connected, it becomes inactive. Tell me, comrades, how to solve this simple problem. Thank you.

Do not torture yourself and others, buy another router and set it up as you need.

Smartphones with repeater functionality do not seem to be produced.
