How to raise a server on Linux and deploy an application?

Help with the sequence (algorithm) of deploying a server on a home laptop. You can not paint the stages, I’ll google it myself.

In the project I used: Java EE, PostgreSQL. As a result, I have JAR files.

1st step:
- installed Linux Ubuntu on the laptop
2nd step:
install JDK 1.8
...

Guys, thank you for your help and sarcasm.
I clarify the details of the question and where I stopped.
details:
Aleksey Cheremisin IDE - IntellijIDEA, there is web.xml.
Saboteur has not yet reached the launch of JAR files, there are no problems with PostgreSQL, installing java and turning on the computer).
Where did I stay:
There is a domain and a static IP. There is an Ericsson router, there is a laptop with Apache, PostgreSQL and JDK. The jars are uploaded to Tomcat webapps.
Next, I suppose it is necessary to configure the router and what is the need for installing and configuring IPTABLES?

There is a problem along the way, I've been sitting with it for the third day

HTTP Status 404 - /Servlet
type Status report

message /Servlet
description The requested resource is not available.
Apache Tomcat/7.0.56

aol-nnov shorten the question,
after deploy the server opens some pages but not all, what could be the reason for this? When you start with IDEA everything works fine.

@SayMAN83

Install IBM webshare, oracle database. Create a cluster on it and deploy your application)))
