How to raise a mail server?

There is a static ip and a domain (purchased on reg.ru). The server is inside the network, ubuntu server 16.04. Installed iRedMail, registered A, MX records. The problem is in the DNS of the reverse zone, providers do not provide a record of the reverse zone on their DNS. Tell me how to solve the problem, is installing a dns server a solution to the problem? Is there a complete manual on this?

Is not. Reverse zones are managed only by the provider that provides you with IP addresses. If the provider refuses to prescribe PTR records, all that remains is to change the provider.
Although in fact this is rather strange, usually providers respond normally to requests to prescribe a PTR.

No.
Reverse zones were distributed, but sooooo long ago. Now they are managed by the provider. Usually he doesn’t bully, though it’s not necessary to hit the girl from the first line, but the one who understands the phrase “register a PTR record” :) which simply does not have a reverse zone because of its smallness :) Then just change it.

Usually a technical support ticket is created with a text like: "please write a ptr record for the example.com domain ... etc." and no problem.
For some providers, hostname and ptr are assigned automatically, whatever you call your vps
