How to put svg marker on canvas layer in leaflet?

Is there an accessible way (through plugins, simple code, or clever use of existing functionality) to place an svg marker on the canvas layer? Kind of like a circleMarker, just an arbitrary fixed size svg marker.

You can use this plugin https://www.npmjs.com/package/leaflet-canvas-markers
It allows you to simply add any images to a single Canvas layer, in which circleMarker is also added
