How to put a character on a chair in Unity?

Good afternoon. I reviewed everything that is on YouTube and re-read all the articles, but did not find anything like it. Yes, a bunch of videos of how a regular capsule (character) from the first or third person approaches the door and it opens. This is all clear, the onTrigger principle and the like too.

But what if you want the camera to just kind of look at the scene, I click on the chair, let's say, and the character goes and sits on it?

1. I did everything, I click, he goes and sits down. But how do I make it clear to the character where the side to sit on is? That is, so that he turns around before sitting back to the chair.

2. Everything works for me, but it is not clear how he sits down with a random side, and, in principle, does not interact with the chair. That is, he "sits" on it due to the visual effect, and not according to physics. This I want to know, is it supposed to be just animation or does it need to physically sit down?

I would appreciate any help, thanks

@freeExec

1. A chair should have a pivot that shows where the character should stand and where to face.
2. And what is the bonus with physics, besides the additional crap?
