How to prove your non-involvement in a DOS attack?

Recently I understood the load testing tools, and for some reason I got the idea to check the university website. So I created a load of 100RPS and after 30 seconds I was locked out. And since I did it under my session, they immediately saw me and now they are summoning me to the dean's office. What should I tell them? So it was not the goal to put the system, and did all this in non-school hours.

You do not need to prove innocence, but the absence of malicious intent.

Well, you loshara ... Remember one thing - a sincere confession and cooperation with the investigation is the surest way to become an accused from a suspect, and then convicted.
But if you are expelled, and this is quite possible, it will be a good lesson for the future. In addition, the army needs soldiers, and workers are needed at construction sites, so there is something to do.
