How to protect WP from comment spam without plugins?

Plugins practically do not cope, I tried Aksimet and Antispam-bee.
I tried to replace name="comment" and "email", and put fake "email" on bots.
Maybe once it worked, but now on the latest version of WP it doesn't.
In the Internet, old articles will come across everywhere, the methods of which do not fight spam.
I would be grateful for help.

I know this is not a direct answer, but I personally solved this by deprecating native comments. I have been using Disqus for a long time.
