How to protect browsing data?

For a very long time I have been using an extension that deletes the cache, history and other things when the browser is closed. The question is, how justified is this? I'm not looking at the possibility that someone can come to my computer and open the browser, but I'm interested in the possibility of stealing browser data from the outside.

TOR browser. Builds chains across the world. It is extremely difficult to even understand where the user came from.

This is a real question. When a laptop is stolen, for example, a
lot of private data is removed from the browser profile folder C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox
Solution: encrypt the laptop completely or if you need to protect it from Third-party programs - encrypt only the Skype browser profile and other programs -
