How to properly set up 301 redirects from www to non-www addresses in .htaccess in joomla 1.5?

The problem is that when I write standard redirect options like
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.site\.ru$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ site.ru/$1 [R=301,L]
or
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]
or
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^site\. ru$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ site.ru/$1 [R=301,L]
The redirect occurs, but it returns to the main page, and not to the same one where the redirect occurred. How can this be fixed?
htaccess file looks like this:

@Tavion

# www to no-www redirect
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} ^www\.(.*) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1 [R=301,L]

Paste after RewriteEngine On
And remove construct after
########## End - Joomla! core SEF Section

well, maybe for a start you will put a redirect before the CNC?

RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /index\.php\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ http://www.klimat-garant.ru/ [R=301,L]

This redirect definitely leads to 1 page without options, is it supposed to be like that?
as far as I understand your redirect is
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]

Have you tried setting it higher than the cnc, preferably at the very beginning?

Didn't find what you were looking for?
